ACCOMODATION and EQUIPMENT:

 Chairs Total divided between Main Hall and both Committee Rooms:  250
 Tables Main Hall:

7 tables (2’6”x 2’6”x 2’5” high)                                                               14 Gopak folding tables (3’0”x 2’3”x 2’4” high)                                  14 Gopak folding tables (5’0”x 2’3”x 2’4” high)                                   4 trestle tables, 6’0” long, stored back stage, may be used for dinners and wedding receptions.

If a hirer requires other tables than those belonging to the Village Hall then they are responsible for the hire, delivery and collection of them.

Large Committee Room: 3 tables

Small Committee Room: 2 tables

 Kitchen Kettle, urn, microwave oven, refrigerator, 5 ring gas hob, single electric oven.Cups, saucers, teaspoons, tea plates, breakfast plates: 10 doz. sets

BLOCK BOOKINGS:

10% discount is allowed for bookings over £350. (Non-commercial only)

PERFORMING RIGHTS: 

No additional charge is made, with the exception of stage plays, opera, ballet, musical comedies or film shows where it is the responsibility of the Hirer to pay any royalties due. However the Hirer must ensure that a return is submitted as requested by the booking clerk.

INSURANCE COVER:

A copy of the policy is available for inspection. The policy covers accidental fire and damage to the premises, and other perils. The hirer is responsible, where applicable, for their own employer’s liability and public liability insurance.

BAR:

A full bar service is operated and hirers are not responsible for obtaining a Bar Licence, or staffing arrangements. Mr. Paul Davies (mobile: 07896 488958, email: pauljdavies622@outlook.com) has the sole rights to sell alcoholic drinks. No alcoholic drinks are allowed onto the premises unless by prior arrangement with Mr. Davies when a corkage charge will be incurred. The bar must always be booked for any function where alcoholic drinks are to be consumed.

VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT:

The Village Hall is operated by a Management Committee on behalf of the community of Shifnal. Committee meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of alternate months in the Large Committee Room in the Village Hall. They start at 7.30pm. The Management Committee is elected each year at the A.G.M. which is held in May.
